Language note
  • The Taysīr (Abumeron) has been translated from the Arabic of Ibn Zuhr into Hebrew by Jacobus Hebraeus and from that version into Latin by "Paravicius" in 1281. Although the translator is named Paravicius in the incipit, Lynn Thorndike has shown that this form is probably a mis-reading for Patavinus.-- Cf. Isis, v. 26 (1936), p. 33-36
  • The Kitāb al-Kullīyāt (Colliget) has been translated from the Arabic of Averroës by Jacob Bonacosa and edited by Hieronymus Surianus.--Cf. Walsh

McDaniel, dated 3 May 1943, on front flyleaf.
