  • Rubrication: Initials, paragraph marks, and capital strokes in headings supplied in red ink. Initials decorated in lavender ink.
  • Ink stamp of St. Ambrose of Nemi (Italy) on leaf [2] and an ownership inscription on bottom edge: Ste. Ambrosij ad Nemus. With extensive contemporary ms. annotations in at least two different hands in margins. Some lost due to trimming.
  • Acquired by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia prior to 16 Oct. 1933.
  • Bound in modern quarter navy Morocco over medium blue cloth-covered boards, with gold-stamping on the spine.
  • Leaf size: 180 x 130 mm. Sewing of each gathering is reinforced with parchment guards. Some dampstaining throughout and minor worm damage at beginning.
