  • A decorative border on leaf [2] is supplied in brown ink, probably by a reader. There are occasional ms. annotations in the margins. The ms. foliation suggests that this work was previously bound with at least one other work.
  • Typescript bibliographical description (2 leaves), probably written by W.M. Voynich, pasted on front flyleaf.
  • Acquired by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia from Voynich, prior to 2 Oct. 1923; with the bookplate of Georgius Kloss, M.D., Francofurti ad Moenum.
  • Bound in quarter light brown calf over marbled paper boards, with gold-stamped red Morocco label on front cover. Innocent's name given as "Lotharii" on label.
  • Leaf size: 277 x 208 mm. The upper right corner of the first leaf and a small tear on the second leaf have been mended. A wormhole in the outer margin runs throughout.
