  • A portion of a ms. letter from Leo Olschki about the rarity of this work is affixed to the front pastedown. An ms. inscription in Italian on a leaf inserted before leaf [1] states that this work and the Antidotarium of Nicolaus Salernitanus were both published by Jenson in 1471.
  • Bound in gold-stamped quarter brown calf (heavily deteriorated, with some insect damage), over light brown paper boards stained to resemble tree-calf; edges speckled red.
  • Leaf size: 204 x 143 mm. The inner bottom margin of leaf [54] is torn.
