  • With numerous contemporary ms. annotations in margins, and an ms. inscription on the title leaf about Pope Julius II (1503-1513). Initials and underlinings supplied by a reader in brown ink.
  • Acquired by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia from Giuseppe Martini prior to 5 May 1920, with his signature on the front pastedown; with the bookplate of Vernon.
  • Contemporary scholar's binding: Bound in half blind-tooled light brown calf over beech boards, with 2 metal clasp-plates on fore-edge of upper board and remnants of corresponding leather clasps on bottom board. Housed in brown cloth-covered clamshell box.
  • Leaf size: 313 x 210 mm. Tear on leaf p2.
