- Rubrication: Initials and capital strokes supplied in red ink on first four leaves. Capital strokes and a few underlinings supplied in red ink on leaves a1-2.
- Provenance: Bookplate bears motto "Inter folia fructus". Red-ink stamp of the Aargauische Kantonsbibliothek on first leaf. Ms. ownership inscription on second leaf: "Bibliothecae Maris stellanae 1639" [i.e., Wettingen, Aargau, Switzerland]. Acquired by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia from L'Art Ancien prior to 3 June 1925.
- Bound in half tree-calf over paper boards covered in paper stained to resemble tree-calf; with gold-stamped red leather spine label; spine detached; housed in brown cloth clamshell. Clamshell spine labelled "Guarinus".
