- Remarks: Pale yellow fluid, cellular debris on bottom of container, specimen has been degraded and looks crumbly; Conservation treatment: lid resealed with silicon caulk. A Hydatid Cyst is formed as a result of infestation by larvae of the tapeworm Echinococcus granulosus. Source: Dr. WL Atlee. Fellow 1846. A-27. Possibly donated 1866.Catalogs: 1940 vol II, p385.Stable condition (completely immersed, minimum precipitates, specimen secure, container and gasket intact). 1276.6mL. 1694.3g. Metal corrosion on lid. Original rubber gasket (brittle, cracked, sticky). Slight white, granular precipitates on specimen and at bottom of jar. Doesn't appear darkened. Bleached. Slightly shrunken. No autopsy, specimen intact
