  • Rubrication: Initials and paragraph marks supplied in alternating blue and red ink. Large initials at the beginning of each book supplied in gilt and decorated in brown, green, and red penwork.
  • With contemporary ms. annotations in margins. Early ownership inscription beneath end of text reads: Flaminio Pagano Giovanni. Facing inscriptions on inserted leaves at front read: "Questo libro e di me Juanne Pagano, et delli miei amici fedelli" and "Questo libro e di me Flaminio Pagano et delli miei Amici fedelli" beneath which is an ink drawing and the name, Claudia DeGlioni. Also inscribed by John Stockton Hough, Venice, 1874, on inserted leaf at front.
  • Presented to the College of Physicians of Philadelphia by John K. Mitchell, M.D., prior to 17 July 1901. With the bookplate and bookstamp of the J. Stockton Hough Library. Receipt pasted on inserted leaf at end and annotation by Hough state that he bought this book in 1874 in Venice and had it shipped to Florence, where he was staying.
  • Bound in half modern vellum over off-white cloth boards, with gold-stamped dark maroon morocco spine label, erroneously stamped "circa 1475".
  • Leaf size: 310 x 210 mm. Slight dampstaining.
