- "Valla's dedication of the Nicephorus to Hieronymus Georgius on 1b verso is misplaced before his general dedication to Guido, Duke of Urbino, on 2a, as is shown by the sentence which follows it: 'Haec praefatio prima errore Imprimentium quae omissa hic posita est logicam praecedit Nicephori'. The translation of Galenus, De succidaneis is by Joannes Petrus Valla."--Cf. BM 15th cent., vol. 5, p. 523
