  • Presented to the College of Physicians of Philadelphia by the estate of Alfred Stillé, M.D., prior to 18 May 1909. With Stillé's bookplate and the label of the Libreria Loescher & Co., Rome, on front pastedown.
  • Bound in contemporary blind-stamped brown leather over wood boards. Originally with metal cornerpieces, center pieces, cleasps and catchplates, now all wanting. 5 raised bands on spine. Early paper label pasted to front cover with title in ms. Spine mended with black tape. Housed in a brown cloth clamshell.
